Travel Post: Pack Smarter Not Harder

After being bitten by a travel bug, I decided to take a trip to Costa Rica. Exiting my plane in Liberia Costa Rica, one of the guys seated next to me ended our conversation by saying, "I hope you find what you're looking for." Well at that time it happened to be closest place I could buy a triangl bikini. But, all jokes aside  traveling alone or with a friend can be one of the most memorable times of your life and should never be taken lightly. HOWEVER our job here is to help you to pack lightly! With summer rapidly approaching we only found it appropriate to give you the quick quintessential checklist travelers must haves. Drum roll please....

1. A good book! A good good will not only set the tone for the rest of your trip but it also gives you a reason to use those train ticket stubs as book marks. I'm currently loving, "The Power of Kindness." But it is also good to have language help when needed. A basic language dictionary is great!

2. A practical shoe line up. I recommend a trusty pair of converse, slide on sandals and strap on sandals.

3. A great bikini!

4. A day dress and a long casual dress for cooler evenings.

5. A denim button up. Light weight, goes with everything and will keep you warm or cool.

6. A deck of cards. Playing a good game of cards is quite possibly the easiest and fastest way to make new friends. Ever.

Hemingway once said, "we travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us" and Carrie Bradshaw also said, "it's never a bad time for Paris". I'm not about to question either of those two! So if you can, then hit the road gypsies! Summer is calling and we want to hear all about it! Send your best travel pics and stories to to be featured on an upcoming post!!

Adiós from Costa Rica

xoxo, Ash
